Birthday Celebrations of the past (part 2)

Most memorable (aka, the ones i can remember at all) of birthday's from growing up...

2001 (sweet 16!) I had a bunch of friends over and found a bunch of adult volunteers with cars. We split up into groups (one group in each car) and had a city wide picture scavenger hunt.

1998 (finally a teenager)... I told my mom for years that i wanted a surprise party for my 13th bday, but as that year approached, I was telling my mom how busy i was with school, and knowing how much I like my organization and planning my mom didn't want to throw it off with a surprise party, so she asked me if I still wanted a surprise party. That, of course, ruined the surprise, I got angry and told her I had still wanted one, but she ruined it and I didn't want one anymore. Yet one night I got home from church to a room full of friends for a surprise sleep over. Mom earned points back for that.

19__ elementary school age... American girl doll party. I asked each of my friends to bring their favorite doll (american girl or otherwise). We used our dolls to put on a "puppet show". Then I became overzealous in my birthday selfishness and started bossing all my friends around- not my finest moment and ended in me crying in my parent's room after getting in trouble.

19__ young kid... circus theme. Everyone had to dress up as some act from a circus. I was a clown. Our activities all emulated something from the circus like walking on a board on the ground pretending it's a high wire trapeze.

1987... we celebrated by 2nd bday two days after we moved into our house (yes, the house my parents still live in and the only house i remember). PB&J sandwiches and a rousing game of animal charades.
