the original Birth-day celebration

My parents were watching the movie 9 to 5 on TV when my mom realized she needed to go to the hospital. Coincidentally, they were watching the same movie on TV when she went into labor with my sister. They still haven't seen the whole thing.

I like to tell people I was named after a turtle... My sister (almost 2) had a pet turtle while my mom was pregnant. Sarah was one of the names they were considering, so she named her turtle "s" because she wanted my name to be Sarah.... and it was, so i figure i was named after the turtle (nothing against the family members i was actually named after)

I was 8 lbs 1.5 oz, 20 in long

the day i went home from the hospital the power went out around 4 pm. My parents got a fire going and apparently I was relaxed and happy (according to my baby book). My grandparents arrived after cutting short their trip to Hawaii. At first they thought mom and dad were having a romantic candlelight dinner, then they realized the power was out. It came back on about 9:45 pm.
