word of the year

I heard on the radio and then on a friends blog the idea of having a personal word of the year. At first I thought it was just a nice idea, but not really something I wanted to do, but a certain word seemed to be stuck in my head, so I decided to make it official.

My word for 2011 is Treasure/treasured. What does it look like for God to be treasured in my life? How would my attitude and feelings be different if I really understood that I am treasured by God? What does scripture say about treasure- earthly and heavenly? Etc.

Theoretically, I will be pondering some of these things over the coming months and potentially blogging about.
